Project
Amphibious Drone Project
An autonomous drone capable of operating across both land and water, integrating LiDAR sensing, AI-based object detection, and modular hardware for versatile navigation.

Overview
What is Amphibious Drone Project?
An amphibious autonomous drone designed to operate across both land and water, combining sensing, AI-based object detection, and modular hardware to explore versatile autonomous navigation.
Motivation
Why I built it
I wanted to explore how autonomous systems could be designed to operate beyond conventional environments and combine multiple forms of sensing and mobility.
The Problem
The information exists. The interpretation doesn't.
Most autonomous vehicles and drones are designed around a specific environment. Operating across different surfaces introduces additional challenges involving navigation, sensing, hardware design, and environmental adaptability.
The Solution
Turning raw information into useful insight.
The project combines autonomous navigation concepts, LiDAR sensing, AI-based object detection, and modular hardware to create a platform capable of adapting to both land and water environments.
Process
How it works
Sense
Sensors gather information about the surrounding environment.
Detect
AI-based object detection helps identify relevant objects and obstacles.
Navigate
Environmental information is used to support autonomous movement.
Adapt
The modular design allows the system to operate across different environments.
Features
What it can do
Amphibious Operation
Designed to operate across both land and water environments.
LiDAR Sensing
Uses LiDAR sensing to gather spatial information about the surrounding environment.
AI Object Detection
Uses AI-based object detection as part of the autonomous navigation system.
Modular Hardware
A modular approach allows the hardware to support different operational requirements.
